1) Scope & definitions
These Terms apply to all users of billy websites, receipt pages, and services. For clarity:
- “billy” means billy A.Ş.
- “Service” means our digital receipt generation, delivery (via QR/NFC/link), receipt viewing pages, and merchant-facing tools.
- “Merchant” means the business using billy to provide digital receipts to its customers.
- “End Customer” means a person who views a receipt page via a link provided by a Merchant.
2) The service
billy provides infrastructure and software that enables Merchants to create a digital receipt and present it to End Customers via a secure link. The Service may include optional modules such as receipt page layouts, banners, and analytics.
Important: Products, prices, taxes, store details, and other receipt content originate from the Merchant’s systems. billy is not the seller of goods/services and is not responsible for the underlying sales transaction.
- Requests regarding returns, refunds, warranty, delivery, or complaints should be directed to the relevant Merchant.
- We aim to provide reliable access, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Receipt links may be time-limited for security, compliance, or Merchant preferences.
3) Acceptance & updates
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when published on our website, unless stated otherwise.
4) Acceptable use
- Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.
- Do not attempt to access someone else’s receipt or data without authorization.
- Do not reverse engineer, probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not overload the Service with automated requests (bots/scrapers) or disrupt performance.
- Do not upload or transmit unlawful content, malware, or harmful code.
We may restrict access if we reasonably believe there is misuse, security risk, or a breach of these Terms.
5) Merchant accounts
Some parts of the Service require a Merchant account. Merchants are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under their accounts. We may require additional verification for security purposes.
6) Receipt content & promotions
Receipt pages may display informational content, merchant messages, promotions, or ad placements. End Customers do not receive “push” marketing from billy; content is shown only when the receipt link is opened.
- Promotional content may be provided by Merchants or third parties.
- Compliance with advertising, consumer, and sector-specific regulations is the responsibility of the content owner/provider.
7) Intellectual property
The Service, including software, UI, trademarks, logos, and content, is owned by billy or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
8) Third‑party services
The Service may rely on third‑party infrastructure providers. Our key supplier for hosting/cloud services is AWS. Third‑party outages or changes may affect the Service.
9) Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, billy disclaims all warranties (express or implied). billy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
- Receipt data accuracy and legality remain the Merchant’s responsibility.
- billy is not a party to the sales contract between Merchant and End Customer.
Consumer rights: Mandatory consumer protection rules remain unaffected. Nothing in these Terms aims to waive rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
10) Suspension / termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service in case of security risk, suspected unlawful activity, or breach of these Terms. Merchant termination conditions may also be governed by separate commercial agreements.
11) Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, courts and enforcement offices of Bursa (Nilüfer) shall have jurisdiction.
